About the role
Working within the Specialist Children’s Service for Greater Glasgow and Clyde, the Neurodevelopmental Practitioner will support children, young people and families across the neurodevelopmental pathway, delivering assessment, post‑diagnostic intervention and consultancy to a range of services.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a complex clinical caseload, undertaking assessment, formulation and diagnosis of neurodevelopmental conditions.
- Develop, implement and evaluate person‑centred care plans in partnership with children, young people and their families.
- Work autonomously while contributing effectively within a multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency team to ensure coordinated care.
- Provide specialist advice, guidance and support to patients, carers, education staff and partner agencies.
- Coordinate care and interventions across services, ensuring effective communication and continuity of care.
- Supervise, support and develop junior staff and healthcare support workers, contributing to learning and service development.
- Contribute to service improvement, clinical governance, audit and quality assurance activities to enhance patient outcomes.
Required profile
- Experience working in multi‑disciplinary teams delivering high‑quality support, assessment and interventions.
- Knowledge of neurodevelopmental conditions and evidence‑based practice.
- Familiarity with national policies and agendas related to child neurodevelopment services.
Required skills
What we offer
- Permanent contract – full‑time (36 hours) or part‑time (14.4 hours) – pro‑rata salary.
- Monday to Friday, 09:00‑17:00.
- Location: West Centre, Kinfauns Drive, Drumchapel, Glasgow.
