Neurodevelopmental Practitioner – Specialist Children’s Service

About the role

The NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is recruiting a Neurodevelopmental Practitioner to join its Specialist Children’s Service. Working within the Neurodevelopmental pathway, you will support children, young people and families across assessment, post‑diagnostic intervention and multidisciplinary collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a complex clinical caseload, conducting assessment, formulation and diagnosis of neurodevelopmental conditions.
• Develop, implement and evaluate person‑centred care plans in partnership with children, young people and families.
• Work autonomously while contributing to a multi‑disciplinary, multi‑agency team to ensure coordinated care.
• Provide specialist advice and support to patients, carers, education staff and partner agencies.
• Coordinate interventions across services, maintaining effective communication and continuity of care.
• Supervise, support and develop junior staff and healthcare support workers.
• Contribute to service improvement, clinical governance, audit and quality assurance activities.

Required profile

• Experience working in multi‑disciplinary teams delivering high‑quality support, assessment and interventions.
• Knowledge of evidence‑based practice and national policies for neurodevelopmental conditions.
• Ability to manage a complex caseload and develop person‑centred care plans.

• Permanent full‑time (36 hours) and part‑time (14.4 hours) posts.
• Monday‑Friday, 09:00‑17:00 onsite at West Centre, Kinfauns Drive, Drumchapel.
