Project Associate – Reintegration (AVRR) – Yaoundé

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a Project Associate to support Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) activities in Cameroon. Working under the Chief of Mission, the National Reintegration Officer and the Senior Reintegration Associate, you will provide technical, administrative and operational assistance to ensure smooth implementation of return and reintegration programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome, inform and guide beneficiaries on return and reintegration options.
• Create and maintain individual beneficiary files, update databases and verify documentation.
• Follow up logistics and finance files, collect proof of funding and IOM service fees.
• Assist returnees in drafting business plans, navigating business registration, identifying funding sources and anticipating challenges.
• Conduct field visits, deliver information sessions to stakeholders and support workshops, awareness‑raising events and training.
• Monitor beneficiaries, assess needs, identify vulnerabilities and propose appropriate solutions.
• Ensure confidentiality, dignity and non‑discrimination in handling beneficiary data.
• Collect data for activity reports and contribute to the organization of partner meetings.

Required profile

• University degree in International Relations, Law, Social, Political or Economic Sciences, Social Work, Migration studies or a related field.
• Experience or strong interest in migration, return and reintegration programmes.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with partners and beneficiaries.
• Strong communication skills in English and French.
