Sales Representative – Tires (Hardware Department)

About the role
Our client, a leading distributor of high‑quality products in Central Africa, is expanding its hardware department in Douala. The company seeks an experienced Sales Representative specialized in tires to drive market growth, develop new business, and maintain strong customer relationships.
Key responsibilities
- Identify, prospect, and convert new clients such as shops, garages, fleets, and distributors within the assigned territory.
- Visit existing customers regularly to ensure satisfaction, strengthen loyalty, and increase recurring order volumes.
- Present product ranges, negotiate prices and commercial terms while protecting company margins, and close sales orders.
- Achieve quantitative and qualitative sales targets set by management.
- Prepare regular activity reports covering visits, prospecting efforts, and sales results.
- Monitor competitor pricing and promotions, and provide market intelligence to the team.
- Ensure accurate tracking of customer receivables and compliance with internal order and collection procedures.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, Management or a related field.
- 3‑5 years of successful field sales experience, preferably in the automotive tire or technical hardware sector.
- Valid Category B driver’s license and willingness to travel frequently within Douala and surrounding areas.
- Strong organizational skills, autonomy, and a results‑oriented mindset.
- High integrity and professional representation of the group.
- Fluency in French; English is an asset.
Required skills
- Proficiency with office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Experience using CRM or sales management tools.
