Senior Reintegration Associate – Yaounde

About the role
The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Senior Reintegration Associate to lead the coordination of reintegration activities for returnees under an EU‑funded initiative. Reporting to the National Reintegration Officer and under the supervision of the MHPSS Officer and Chief of Mission, the incumbent will ensure timely and effective implementation of project components in Cameroon.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the National Reintegration Officer in coordinating and monitoring project implementation in line with IOM policies and donor requirements.
- Design and maintain data‑collection mechanisms, overseeing classification activities of reintegration assistants.
- Review and establish reintegration procedures and forms, ensuring their proper application.
- Set up and operate a monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system for the reintegration process.
- Collaborate with communication teams to manage information flow and visibility activities.
- Prepare progress reports and submit them to reporting and communication officers.
- Develop capacity‑building plans for governmental and non‑governmental partners.
- Supervise reintegration assistants in Yaounde and coordinate with local implementing partners.
- Participate in steering committees, seminars, and events promoting IOM’s work.
- Undertake site visits, duty travel, and any other duties as assigned.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, Law, International Relations or a related field, with at least five years of relevant professional experience in project management and voluntary return programmes; or a school diploma with seven years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated experience in Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) and reintegration assistance within a UN or international organization.
