Supply Chain Assistant (Asset Management)

About the role

The Supply Chain Assistant (Asset Management) will support the Senior Supply Officer in Yaoundé to ensure efficient management of mission assets and inventory. The role focuses on maintaining accurate asset records, conducting inventories, and supporting procurement and disposal processes in line with IOM policies.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain an up‑to‑date asset register and ensure timely updates in the ERP system.
• Conduct quarterly, bi‑annual and annual physical inventories, reconcile discrepancies and update records.
• Manage the full asset lifecycle: receipt, tagging, assignment, transfer, return and disposal.
• Liaise with Central Accounting Support and other offices on asset disposal, transfers and claims.
• Prepare and submit asset and inventory reports to HQ and other stakeholders.
• Support the Asset Disposal Committee and ensure compliance with procedures.
• Coordinate asset maintenance, warranty claims and service contracts.
• Assist in drafting tender documents, evaluating quotations and monitoring service contracts.
• Provide logistical and administrative support for project schedules and act as bid receipt focal point when needed.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field with at least two years relevant experience, OR high school diploma with four years relevant experience.
• Certification in Procurement, Logistics or Supply Chain Management is desirable.
