Supply Chain Assistant – Fleet Management

About the role

The Supply Chain Assistant (Fleet Management) will support the Resource Management Officer and the Supply Chain Officer in Yaounde to ensure efficient vehicle dispatch, maintenance and procurement processes, contributing to the delivery of goods and services in line with IOM’s supply chain objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate daily dispatch activities for inter‑city and intra‑city missions, including driver and vehicle assignments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date vehicle registration, licensing, insurance and other procurement‑related documents.
• Monitor vehicle usage, logbooks, mileage and fuel consumption; generate regular status reports.
• Prepare leave plans, weekend, holiday and night‑driver schedules for the dispatch team.
• Generate vehicle maintenance requisitions and ensure timely repairs, working with the fleet manager and insurance focal point.
• Produce incident reports for traffic accidents or vehicle damage and coordinate insurance claims.
• Support the Airport team as a backup focal person and provide inputs for driver evaluations.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field with at least two years of relevant experience, or a high‑school diploma with four years of experience.
• Certification in Procurement, Logistics or Supply Chain Management is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle registration, licensing and insurance procedures.
• Ability to work under supervision and follow IOM procurement and supply‑chain policies.

Required skills
