Occupational Therapy Assistant

About the role

The Occupational Therapy Assistant will support the ICE | MUSL NWA OP PT Clinic by delivering patient‑centered therapy services under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists. This temporary, fixed‑term position works day shifts and contributes to the multidisciplinary team at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences.

Key responsibilities

• Assist licensed occupational therapists with patient evaluations and treatment plans.
• Implement therapy activities, monitor patient progress, and adjust interventions as directed.
• Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record.
• Maintain therapy equipment and ensure a safe clinical environment.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.

Required profile

• Current Arkansas license or certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Eligibility to work in the United States on the first day of employment.
• Ability to work day shifts in an onsite clinical setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
