Travel Agent

About the role

Lamaira Travel Cameroon is hiring a full-time, on-site Travel Agent based in Douala V. The agent handles day-to-day travel arrangements for clients, including flights, hotels, car rentals and tours, and ensures every reservation is accurate and confirmed.

Key responsibilities

• Advise clients on travel options, itineraries, pricing and visa or document requirements.
• Provide prompt, professional customer service in person, by phone and online.
• Manage client inquiries and complaints, process payments and keep client records up to date.
• Promote travel packages, upsell services and contribute to revenue growth targets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in travel, tourism or hospitality is an asset.
• Ability to work on-site in Douala V, manage several tasks at once and pay close attention to detail.
• English and French are highly beneficial.
• Prior experience in a travel agency, hospitality or tourism role is preferred.

Required skills

• Reservations and travel arrangements: booking and coordinating flights, accommodation and tours.
• Car rental bookings and related services.
• Sales skills: promoting packages, upselling and meeting sales goals.
• Proficiency in booking and reservation systems; basic computer literacy (email, spreadsheets, CRM tools).
