Advanced Practice Occupational Therapist

About the role
This is an exciting opportunity to join the CAMHS Neurodevelopmental Team at West Road, Irvine, as an Advanced Practice Occupational Therapist. You will provide expert assessment and intervention for children and young people with complex neurodevelopmental needs, working within a multidisciplinary environment.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver high‑quality Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention for a complex caseload.
- Contribute to multidisciplinary neurodevelopmental diagnostic assessments and care planning.
- Provide clinical leadership, specialist advice, supervision and training to colleagues and partner agencies.
- Identify and manage clinical risk, supporting robust escalation processes.
- Lead service development activities including training, clinical audit, research and governance.
- Allocate approximately 70% of time to direct/indirect clinical work and 30% to professional leadership and service development.
Required profile
- BSc (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration with the HCPC.
- Post‑graduate training relevant to neurodevelopmental practice.
- Essential UK driving licence.
Required skills
- Occupational Therapy assessment and intervention.

- Risk management within a health‑care setting.
- Collaboration across multidisciplinary and multi‑agency teams.
